New and Improved!!!

Well, we'll see about the "improved" part, but things certainly are different around here. Just when I swore off blogs few years ago, here I am turning Page 37 into one. Something happened to me recently, I've got a 9-5 (holy shit)!! And as a result I simply cannot continue to run P37 as a business anymore.

Freelance web programming was a fun but unpredictable ride. The income could be good, but always very spurty (predictably unpredictable). A desire to find a new path in life and have it be a more stable one has led me to go after a Masters degree in business administration (aka monkey dance!). Buddy Joel Sedeno found a nice spot at National University where while he enjoyed a regular (though not the best in the world) paycheck, and pursued his degree free of charge. What a deal, and I jumped on the opportunity as soon as one opened up to me. For the next year and a half, getting that MBA will be where I focus all of my energy.

With a 9-5, no longer accepting new clients, and classes not starting until September mean all of a sudden I have a lot more free time. Now that I no longer have to work crazy late hours to get projects done, those night times and weekends actually, completely belong to me. This extra free time allows me to continue to build, to create and to accomplish. I will use the new page 37 to document these projects... and maybe just once in a while I'll use it bitch about politics and stuff ha!
